Leftists Already Losing It As Trump Nominates Justice Scalia’s Son

Another Trump administration nomination is driving progressives up the wall.
After Labor Secretary Alex Acosta was forced to resign due to backlash over his involvement in a lenient plea deal with financier Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 — who now faces sex trafficking charges — Trump tapped attorney Eugene Scalia to fill the vacancy.
And the left lost its collective mind at Trump’s nomination announcement.
According to Fox News, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer lambasted the president over his new secretary of labor pick in a Thursday tweet, accusing Scalia of being anti-worker.
“President @realDonaldTrump is missing an opportunity to nominate a fighter for workers, like a union member, to be America’s next Labor Secretary. Instead, he has again chosen someone who has proven to put corporate interests over those of worker rights,” Schumer said.
Prominent sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome were also incensed by the nomination.
“MAKE IT DUMMERERER,” said intelligence analyst Eric Garland of Trump’s decision to nominate Scalia.
Technology journalist Ed Bott accused the president of being an autocrat.
“Oh god Trump is appointing Antonin Scalia’s idiot son as Labor Secretary because of course that’s what autocrats do,” Bott stated.
In 2012, The Wall Street Journal noted that Scalia “has emerged as one of the industry’s go-to guys for challenging financial regulations.” His history of defending large corporations will cause major headaches during the confirmation hearings, in which Democrats are expected to question Scalia’s objectivity.
Walmart hired Scalia in 2005 to help defend the company from whistleblower lawsuits by disgruntled employees.
In 2006, a Maryland law that would have forced major companies to invest more into the healthcare benefits of employees was overturned after Scalia argued that it conflicted with federal regulations.
Both of these lawsuits, among others, will likely turn up during Scalia’s confirmation hearings.
