This week a group of US senators has proposed to leave Turkey in control of the northern part of Cyprus, and force the Greek Cypriots to choose between the US and Russia for the economic and political future of the south of the island.

Turkey is opening a can of worms it may not be able to consume.
When I was riding the taxi into work one day recently, I stopped to pick up a donut. When I cam out the door, I grabbed a couple of plastic bottles from the trash since we recycle them where I work.
The taxi driver was complaining that she would tell them in the office what I was doing.
I told her if you did that you would be opening a can of worms that you cannot eat. It would give me a 4th Amendment claim against the City since it is a city taxi. ;)
