An ugly new detail has come to light in the aftermath of a Wednesday shooting in Philadelphia that left six police officers wounded.
District Attorney Larry Krasner, in charge of prosecuting cop shooters in the city, appears to have a troubling background of anti-police rhetoric.
According to a statement from United States Attorney William McSwain, chants of “f— the police” and “no good cops in a racist system” broke out at the Philadelphia DA’s election victory party in 2017.
McSwain decried the “culture of disrespect for law enforcement” that is “promoted and championed” by Krasner.
“I am fed up with it,” McSwain said.
The U.S. attorney accused Krasner of calling “police and prosecutors corrupt and racist, even ‘war criminals’ that he compares to Nazis.”
