At least three men were killed and nine other people were injured in a shooting at a Halloween house party in Long Beach Tuesday night and police were searching for the shooters, police said.
The shooting took place at 10:44 p.m. in the 2700 block of Seventh Street, officials said.
Three victims were confirmed dead at the scene and nine others suffered gunshot wounds, some considered life-threatening, police said.
"The crime scene is horrific; there's blood everywhere," Long Beach Police Chief Robert Luna told reporters at a briefing Wednesday morning. "The shooter or shooters fired from an alley behind the residence. Then the shooter or shooters fled in a dark-colored vehicle."
Luna said the three deceased victims were men and the wounded included seven women and two males. There was no update on their conditions, he said.
"Last thing I heard was shots. It was 20 or 30 shots," said a resident, who only gave his first name, Martin.

Some people take Halloween a little too seriously.
"The shooter or shooters fired from an alley behind the residence..."
They should close that alley. Everyone knows alleys are dangerous.

5 died at a Halloween party in northern California. Someone in a wealthy suburb across the Bay from SF rented a huge house to a bunch of blacks through airbnb. 5 dead blacks. Airbnb was pissed because the renters had signed a No Party clause.

When I lived in Chicago in the late 70s, these five girls had their birthdays in November.
They rented a mansion in the northwest suburbs for a party. I drove the truck out there with the band in back.
I was sitting around and one of the girls came running shouting at me, "There's a fight by the beer bar!"
I went over there and they were standing on chairs beating on each other. I started to wade into the crowd. I grab this guy by his right arm. He tried to turn on me the other way and I grabbed his left arm.
He slipped on the wet floor and I threw him down. He went down with a crash and they all looked at me. I pointed and shouted, "Cool it right now!"
They said, "It's cool."
That is how I got started in security. The guy that was supposed to be in charge of looking after the house was nowhere around of course.
And the guy I threw down was apologizing to me the rest of the night. LOL

I've been in more fights in alleys and at the ends of alleys than I care to remember.
And the bacterial meningitis I was sick with has a lot to do with my loss of memory. ;)
