Trump is obviously disgusted with the verdict, which is pretty much accented by his pardon today of those military guys who were convicted of war crimes in Iraq. The timing sends a big message, so there's no reason to pressure Trump to do this.
Stone is not in jail. He is awaiting sentencing, and appeals are likely. If he can delay jail until next year's election then Trump may well pardon him soon after, even if he wins. So there is really no petition needed.
Stone's biggest concern would be only that Trump doesn't die before the elections.

Yes, it was totally corrupt, a kangeroo court where the judge interfered with the selection of jurors. She would not allow Stone's attorney to strike from the jury a woman whose husband was involved with Muller's team investigating Trump. Several of the other jurors are highest level intelligence people - part of the deep state. This has been reported out by experts watching the process. For a few million dollars more, Stone can get the trial overturned. Stone had no chance of any other outcome. Plus the charges against him are a joke, all "process" crimes - most of which are not even illegal.
Now they are going after other conservatives, like Alex Jones. The prosecutor said so today.
