Devin Nunes just went on Fox News to accuse Adam Schiff of a crime you wont believe
Rep. Devin Nunes is one of the few Republicans allowed into Adam Schiffs secret impeachment court.
Despite having access to the room, he isnt allowed to do much.
But he just went on Fox News to accuse Adam Schiff of a crime you wont believe.
After experiencing Adam Schiffs impeachment court first hand, Devin Nunes is speaking out.
During an interview with Fox News he explained that Republicans are not allowed to bring witnesses forward in the hearing room, and that Schiff essentially acts as a dictator in the hearing.
But his most troubling accusation is that Schiff recently coached a witness during a hearing to get him to say what he wanted him to.
Nunes explains that it was during the testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, and that he had never in [his] life seen anything like it before.
Fox News reports:
"Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, accused the panels Democrat chairman, Rep. Adam Schiff, of coaching a Trump impeachment inquiry witness during closed-door testimony on Capitol Hill.
I have never in my life seen anything like what happened today, Nunes, R-Calif., told Hannity on Tuesday, referring to the testimony of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.
"The scene was unprecedented, Nunes said.
I mean, theyve been bad at most of these depositions, but to interrupt us continually to coach the witness, to decide what were going to be able to ask the witness.
"Nunes slammed Schiff, D-Calif., for refusing to allow Republicans to not yet call witnesses of their own, which he also said has never happened to him in Congress.
And, to see someone coach a witness, this isnt the first time that Schiff Schiff is very good at coaching witnesses.
He said Schiffs staff previously met with the yet-unnamed Ukraine whistleblower, again calling the entire impeachment inquiry process under Schiff and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., unprecedented.
Little is known about what is happening in Schiffs closed-door kangaroo court. But the information from Nunes shows that it may be even worse than Republicans have been speculating.
President Trump has been increasingly going after Schiff, even claiming that he should be arrested for treason for lying about the transcript of his call with the president of Ukraine.
