Donald Trump never knew that John McCain played this shocking role in the FBI spying scandal
The layers of the FBIs cover up of spying on the Trump campaign continue to unravel.
Previously unknown players are having their parts in this massive scandal revealed.
And Donald Trump never knew that John McCain played this shocking role in the FBI spying scandal.
Bombshells from Inspector General Michael Horowitzs report on the FBI spying on the Trump campaign continue to trickle out.
The latest stunning development was that Christopher Steele passed his Russian collusion fake news to the FBI through the late Senator John McCain.
Steele used McCain as a go between with the FBI after the FBI dropped Steele as a confidential source.
Breitbart reports:
Late Senator John McCain provided disgraced former FBI chief James Comey with five separate reports from Christopher Steele that the FBI didnt previously possess related to unsubstantiated allegations of collusion between Russia and President Trumps 2016 campaign, the Justice Departments recent Inspector General report revealed.
There have long been questions about why it was necessary for McCain to pass Steeles anti-Trump dossier to Comey on December 9, 2016, several weeks after the November 2016 presidential election. By then, Steele had already met numerous times with FBI agents to provide them with his controversial reports. Steele, however, was terminated as an FBI source in the fall of 2016 because he spoke to the news media.
The IG report discloses that McCain gave five new Steele reports to Comey that the FBI did not previously possess, showing that McCain served as a conduit for Steeles information to reach the FBI even after the British ex-spy was formally cut off as an FBI source.
It is not clear whether McCain knew at the time that Steele had previously been terminated as an FBI source.
There is no evidence McCain knew the FBI cut Steele off.
But Steele was fanatically opposed to Donald Trump winning the election that he was desperate to use any means necessary to funnel his unsubstantiated gossip to the FBI.
