And lose the ridiculously humongous "ORWELL" quote and photo avatar.

You're a living example of what Orwell was trying to warn us about.

There's HARD science -- proven by repeatable scientific experiments, measurements, math, and observation -- and there's SOFT "science" -- THOSE are the un-proven, THEORETICAL about Earth-Space "Science" ones you and many others swallow without investigation or scrutiny.

Did you know solid state physics is based upon theoretical concepts that have been proven by experimentation, and utilizes very advanced math and physical principles?

You can't seem to understand the most basic of concepts that men have known for centuries by observation, experimentation, and exploration. Things that people take for granted each passing day such as the Internet, computers, TVs, radio, air travel, etc..

Yet you think we can create all this whiz bang stuff ignoring all the most basic of principles. LOL

Here's a question for flat earthers. Which way is north on a flat earth map?

The answer of this question is obviously not for you, Lurker...

This realm -- given it obvious that it is NOT a "globe" -- is a flat plane. According to the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection Map, it is used the world over to determine the useful properties that all points on the map.

Why? because they display the proportionally correct distances from the center point, and that all points on the map are at the correct azimuth (direction) from the center point.

It is also THIS general map that the UN and world agencies use to display our realm.

The UN type world map is not used for navigation, it is used to present the sphere of the earth onto a 2 dimensional plane.

Actual maps used for navigation follow mathematical projections that can be used to navigate by compass. Ever been in Boy Scouts?

Myself I wrote software to take actual pixel information from a weather satellite, and using a Lambert Conformal map projection algorithm to plot the necessary geodetic coordinates, plotted the pixel data from the satellite into the pixel location for that specific coordinate.

It created an actual image of a 3 dimensional visual snapshot of the earth plotted onto a 2 dimensional surface (the picture recorded by the satellite), then plotted onto a 2 dimensional map of the US, such as what you see on TV weather or road maps.

So dude, you're messing with the wrong guy. If I were some stoned out kid in Jr. High, maybe you could convince me. But I'm not.

On your map you'd have to keep steering to the left to follow the coastline of Antarctica if you're heading east. It real life you have to steer to the right.

Did you know you can actually take a cruise ship to Antarctica?

Given the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection Map is THE one universally accepted map of all navigation, flight, and mapping...

Look at the map again.

One can why exactly why routes from say Santiago Chlie to Auckland, NZ would stop near LAX. It's almost directly on the straight route to Auckland according to the AEP Map.

You'll also find stops on the globe often make NO sense -- UNTIL you see the AEP Map.

Have you always believed in this nonsense?

On the real planet earth you can fly over the north pole and heading directly south towards the south pole and flying directly over it, you'd be heading back to the north pole again heading north.

It's what they call a polar orbit.

Here is the definition off the top of my head.

Fire is the result of a chemical reaction where a fuel oxidizes and gives off heat and light energy.

A gas is also produced upon the oxidation of fuels, in some cases more violently than others. In cases of rapid oxidation, the gas is produced at such an intense rate the result is an instant pressurization of the surrounding area. This is often called an explosion.

A rocket engine works by way of the controlled yet rapid oxidation of fuel thus producing a high volume of gas rapidly in order to generate thrust.

Thus, your claim that rockets can't operate in the vacuum of space illustrates how uninformed you are.

The Strange “Hollow Earth” Case of Admiral Richard Byrd Alexandria Ducksworth Jun 25, 2018 · 4 min read

Tim Evanson via flickr “There comes a time when the rationality of men must fade into insignificance and one must accept the inevitability of the Truth! I am not at liberty to disclose the following documentation at this writing…perhaps it shall never see the light of public scrutiny, but I must do duty and record here for all to read one day. In a world of greed and exploitation of mankind can no longer suppress that which is truth.” Medal of Honor recipient Admiral Richard E. Byrd allegedly wrote his encounter with a lost civilization in Antarctica. According to Hollow Earth theorists, Byrd met ancient race underground in the South Pole. How was this left out from Byrd’s mission: Operation Highjump? Could it be one big hoax conspiracy theorists love to fantasize? According to Byrd’s “diary,” the government ordered Byrd to remain silent for what he witnessed during his Arctic assignment: March 11, 1947 “I have just attended a Staff Meeting at the Pentagon. I have stated fully my discovery and the message from the Master. All is duly recorded. The President has been advised. I am now detained for several hours (six hours, thirty- nine minutes, to be exact.) I am interviewed intently by Top Security Forces and a Medical Team. It was an ordeal!!!! I am placed under strict control via the National Security provisions of this United States of America. I am ORDERED TO REMAIN SILENT IN REGARD TO ALL THAT I HAVE LEARNED, ON THE BEHALF OF HUMANITY!!! Incredible! I am reminded that I am a Military Man and I must obey orders.” After many polar accomplishments, Byrd organized Operation Highjump in 1947. The objective: construct an American training and research facility in the South Pole.

“Bulldozer clears path during Operation Highjump” via Wikimedia A simple military task, right? Some say the American government sent their troops to the South Pole for any evidence of the rumored German Base 211. Nazis were fascinated with anything regarding the Aryan race. They traveled all over the world including Antarctica to learn more of alleged origins. The Germans did make their mark in the South Pole. However, what they have discovered doesn’t compared to what Byrd recorded in his diary. AGARTHA: ANTARCTICA’S SECRET

“Inside the Hollow Earth” via Big Think For thousands of years, people all over the world have written legends about Agartha (sometimes called Agarta or Agarthi), the underground city. Did Byrd find it? He met “The Master,” the city’s leader, who told him of his concerns about the surface world: “Our interest rightly begins just after your Race exploded the first atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. It was that alarming time we sent our flying machines, the ‘Flugelrads’ to your surface world to investigate what your Race had done…You see, we have never interfered before in your Race’s wars and barbarity. But now we must, for you have learned to tamper with a certain power that is not for your Man, mainly that of atomic energy. Our emissaries have already delivered messages to the power of your World, and yet they do not heed.” Apparently, the government knew about Agartha before Byrd. According to the Master, places such as Tibet, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and the North Pole all have tunnels leading to Agartha. What else did the Master teach Byrd? What about the rest of the Operation Highjump crew? Byrd didn’t uncover the underground world alone. Whether the whole Hollow Earth story is fact or fiction, it’s great to imagine there are still hidden civilizations out there in the world. Good research, NN...

(I had to re-format the above a bit to better read it.)

Your Ezra Pound theory on Admiral Byrd's eventual "send-the-nut-away!" plight was a natural assumption, wasn't it? They had a more permanet "solution" for him as it turned out. ;-)

Anyway...interesting sources for theories and info on both Antarctica and Admiral Byrd. You see -- THIS is exactly the kind of exploration and probing for information and subjects we were NOT going to be exposed to by ANY degree by either Public School, College, PBS/History Channel/Discovery, etal. We must seek and find hidden knowledge ourselves.

Some of the claims and info I am a bit familiar with; Like...Nazi exploration and establishment of bases, catacombs that spiral deep underground, areas of de-iced "Oases," etc. )

Thanks also for the book recommendations.

With an open mind, I'd actually read, 'Beyond the Poles: Physical Continuity of the Universe' by F. Amadeo Giannini

It started with some promise, then veered off the tracks. I did not find most of his claim or main thesis credible -- although some of it MAY BE plausible (and THE keyword to all of any theory as to what may lie within Antarctica is, "plausible." Or even "possible.")

With respect to Admiral Byrd's so-called "diary," (supposedly published by his son), claims of "Hollow Earth," and "Ancient Races" either at the North Pole OR Antarctica can't be proven...OR...dis-proven, can they? (Given the Antarctica Treaty of 1959 -- signed just 2 years after the Admiral's mysterious, untimely death -- the curious, like you, myself, Wudidiz, and courageous crew of Freedom4um Truther Nuts -- are restricted to explore what it truly represents: "THE FINAL FRONTIER.")

Some theorize the Admiral's alleged "diary" was created solely to discredit HIM -- as well as any and all of what "secrets" Admiral Byrd divulged to others about what he and his personnel witnessed during 'High Jump' and 'Deep Freeze'.

The truth is: WE JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT LIES in the great beyond of Antarctica. Even as of 1954 Admiral Byrd admitted on a TV Show that Antarctica is a land NO ONE has explored. Well...at least not "officially." Even if SOME have, they haven't divulged it, nor is there sufficient testimony.)

WHAT WE KNOW:

1) Admiral Byrd led THREE large military operations to conduct Missions: UNKNOWN - including three named, 'High Jump' (1946), 'Windmill' (1947) and 'Deep Freeze' (1955).

Admiral Byrd was DEAD just two years after 'Operation: DEEP FREEZE'. DID HE KNOW TOO MUCH??

NASA was created in 1958 (with Nazi Scientists and Occultists.) The next year, 1959, The Antarctica Treaty was created, which halted and restricted ANY and ALL independent exploration.

2) The information collected during the last three Antarctica Missions were CLASSIFIED/ TOP SECRET

3) MINIMAL information was shared with the general public on the nature of the missions, discoveries, AND revelations. The MSM made sure the pods found that acceptable.

4) Said missions were claimed NEVER to have made it beyond 200 miles or so (so who knows exactly what lies within this realm's interior -- whether we live on a "Globe" or indeterminate extended Flat-earth plane?

5) Byrd curiously referred to Antarctica as a "Band of Ice" (which is exactly how it appears on an official Azimuthal Equidistant Projection Map (or any "Flat Earth" map by any other name)

Here's an interesting hit & miss documentary on Antarctica.

It properly and immediately questioned the validity of mapping Antarctica -- but MINUS hundreds of thousand of miles gaping-hole amidst the center of entire continent -- then ignores that entire issue for the rest of the doc...

Otherwise, still a worthy source of info, history, and theory.

Subsequently, Antarctica, Admiral Byrd, its various Operations and Missions, and teasing-theories are discussed --NONE of which curiously mention the scary phrase, "FLAT EARTH":

Would you agree with someone who told you fire is actually not hot, the government has been LYING to you about it?

It's at about the same level of absurdity.

It's not just the shape of the earth that is being denied by the other person, he claims gravity doesn't exist, people never navigated across the globe, the sky is a giant CGI projection (mind you computers didn't exist prior to WWII, and even then they used vacuum tubes and took up a warehouse sized building to do simple calculations), and other such nonsensical things.

The fact is that it's been well established that the 9/11 truth movement has been infiltrated by such people to discredit them, and most likely it's a government operation. We have a live one here.

One other thing NN. I've been an engineer for 35 years and majored in physics.

If you were a carpenter, would you just sit back and listen to someone tell everybody that carpenters don't really use nails, they use glue to build new houses?

Or if you were a plumber, would you listen and smile in agreement with someone who states that plumbers are all involved a worldwide conspiracy to run waste water back into the water main?

It insults me personally to hear quackery about flat earth, as it isn't just ridiculously ignorant of real basic facts and lacks any common sense, it accuses all scientists and engineers on the planet of conspiring to trick people into believing lies (for some unknown reason), and have been doing so for thousands of years.

You see? That's not what I said. You're so overwrought you're misquoting me.

You're joking right?

This is EXACTLY what you said;

From Post 327

It's inconceivable they've salted the 911 truth movement with flat earthers to discredit it.

In Post 328 I said;

You say it's INCONCEIVABLE that the government would try to discredit the 9/11 truth movement? HUH?????

So explain to me how I misquoted you.

Don't know how that could have happened -- I checked your wording and mine 3x. I have a sleep problem and might have been groggy. But I srsly don't think Lib is a Fed or stooge -- he shows no other earmarks, quite the contrary. Right or wrong, flat earth has persuaded a lot of people known to be quite sincere.... not including me of course.

Other players here aren't 99 44/100 pure in their content, you know -- and nobody jumps up to denounce their bad stuff. Where did I say "that Antarctica is the entrance to the inner earth" -- post 328?

Being sincere doesn't make one honest or correct, as a pathological liar can appear to be totally and absolutely sincere. Then there are the schizophrenics that actually believe their delusions are true.

If I see something dishonest being posted I call it out.

Isn't that the gist of the Byrd story? Or perhaps I'm confusing it with another story about an aircraft flying near the north pole whose crew saw the entrance surrounded by forests and waterfalls. Forgot who was supposed to be the main character of that one.

But ok, the Byrd story speaks of UFOs attacking his ships or something, right?

Use your words to speak. I'm not clicking on YouTube links to find out what you're trying to say.

"Being sincere doesn't make one honest or correct" -- that's coocoo like Cocoa Puffs coocoo like Cocoa Puffs COOCOO LIKE COCOA PUFFS. The 'honest' part, not the 'correct' part.

"If I see something dishonest being posted I call it out" -- it's way beyond that, totally out of control.

"Isn't that the gist of the Byrd story......? Not from my POV. In your spluttering rage you're confusing me with Lib. I'm the one who's asking questions about all this -- please review my #110 and dial it down already.

All politicians appear sincere. Yet are they all honest?

I see someone losing control, but it's not me.

I try to have a civil discussion with you and then you start raging, and then say I'm the one raging. I see a case of projection here...

I don't see you asking any questions here, just making a snide comment..

Post 110

Are you having another one of those senior moments?

I honestly don't know what he saw, and I certainly haven't alleged anything on that subject. There are numerous conflicting accounts online. The harder I try to grab hold of anything definitely strange in his regard (including right now) the more elusive it gets.

Sometimes asking questions takes the form of throwing things into a discussion and seeing what anybody has to say about it. This is 4um, not MIT.

You and Lib take it from here on the shape of the earth -- I really don't care about it that much. Am impressed by your scientific grasp of things and don't to profess to an iota of it myself.
