While the world is on tenterhooks waiting to see what the response of Iran will be, Trump strikes again.

Perhaps he is not yet done.

(And maybe Khameini is not quite so bummed out now that some domestic political competition has been removed. Not all is what it seems.)

Using drones against the Popular Militias inIraq is suicidal. They will have no choice but to run Americans out of Iraq.

It was the Popular Militias which saved Iraq after Obama had Greenlit the ISIS invasion of Anbar province and Mosul in 2014. And they were organized by Soleiman.

I once said to an Arab guy, "You folks would like to see all of us out of here, wouldn't you?"

He said, "For God sakes no. Don't go. If you go, we will be 100% subject to the families that run things around here."

The strong man, the local mafia, and the mullahs or muttawahs. They can't seem to live without them, but they hate them at the same time.

There's a fatal weakness in that sort of society that allows an outside force a space to be there.

In some ways that Soleimani fellow is the best such a society offers. Now he is dead, and many locals weep. Our pinhead media weep along with them.

If it were up to me, we'd have been out of there a long time ago.
