There is a direct correlation between solar magnetism and the temperature of the earth. There is a direct correlation between cloud formation and cosmic rays striking the earth's atmosphere. Cosmic rays generate more clouds at lower altitude. Low clouds reflect more sunlight into space and have a strong cooling effect on the earth. Increased solar wind blocks cosmic rays striking earth.
