Ezra Pound was confined to St. Elizabeth Hospital in 1945 for making radio broadcasts for Mussolini's Fascist regime. He was there until 1958 when he was released due to pressure from fellow poets.

After his release it was found that Pound was totally sane.

He commissioned Eustace Mullins to write a book about the history of the Federal Reserve, which is not federal and has no reserves. ;)
