This one is almost hard to watch in terms of the awkward cringe factor. 2020 Democratic hopefuls Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer who in many cases have been championed by MSNBC and CNN pundits as "presidential" while the same networks by and large dismiss front runner Bernie Sanders couldn't name the president of Mexico when pressed during Telemundo interviews this week.
"I forget," billionaire businessman Steyer said when asked point blank. Klobuchar offered a simple "no" in response after the Telemundo journalist went so far as to apologize for having to ask such a simplistic question. Both were busy campaigning in Nevada.
During Klobuchar's interview it was clear the three-term Minnesota senator had no idea what she was talking about on issues facing the United States and Mexico, leading up to this question from Telemundos host: Can you tell me his name? With a defeated look of resignation she meekly answered no not even conjuring a single syllable of the name of Mexicos President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Insanely ambitious person whos convinced millions that she can beat Trump is kind of dumb and unqualified.

Steyer had also answered no when asked about Obrador's name.
Klobuchar was asked, What do you know about the president of Mexico? She initially said she would visit Mexico in the first 100 days of her presidency.
But the journalist followed up with, I ask because its so important, especially to Nevada, California, Texas But do you know who he is? Do you know his name?
Klobuchar fumbled: Yes, yes, she hesitated. I know that he is the Mexican president.

This is hard to watch, not even a little bit fun as I was expecting. Its like watching someone pluck wings off a fly. The interviewer is so relentless about it; even I wanted him to stop, but he just doesnt: https://twitter.com/sunraysunray/status/1229046641673592832
It is difficult to understand that not everyone who is seeking the presidency of the United States knows who Andrés Manuel López Obrador is the leader of the neighboring country with whom the U.S. shares a massive and problematic border, stated the campaign.
