Are you familiar with this?

In the Elon Musk twitter thread that I posted earlier, there was a request to post it to IPFS. Huh? So I watched an hour of videos and this was the best 10 minutes I came across.

Thanks for this, Anthem. I don't understand it, but if 'distributed' means what I think, it could be great.

I think it's something we're all going to become very aware of like BTC. There are other downsides -- maybe they can be fixed:

That's interesting. Thank you. It reminds me of darknet, which may work in a similar manner, though I don't know the details. That it ties into a money making system is interesting as well, as certainly some form of crypto money would naturally be the most efficient means of doing it. Though the money would most likely be generated from ad revenue, which means popups and such that society may be becoming weary of in the coming years.

Decentralization is good for the reasons given, though this only outlines a means of decentralizing data. Decentralizing information services is the next step up.
