Horse, I'm appalled at your suggestion that a woman who works at a Community Peace organization that helps victims of domestic violence might exaggerate the number of women being assaulted.

Just running some rough numbers, let's assume that the typical assailant makes a full time job of assaulting, and even works weekends -- say 8 hours/day seven days a week. Then if one in five women were being assaulted at any given time, that would mean that about 60% of all women would be assaulted at some time in any given day. 60% of all women -- that's pretty believable, isn't it?

All that said, seriously I have no use for any man who would abuse his wife or girlfriend, and I feel sorry for the women who are abused.

I've heard that the KKK used to frown on that, and gave attitude adjustments where needed.
