Now that's real journalism. This is why I don't try to help the po' fokes anymore -- it's well-nigh impossible to find any real ones!

My church is on the edge of a nasty ghetto, which is thank Zeus being gentrified. But when I started working there panhandlers were constantly trying to work us, giving us flimsy tales of woe with booze on their breath etc. I'd just talk to 'em in French but they wouldn't get the point -- apparently they don't know foreign languages exist.

A nignog started attending and gave our vestry a sob story about being down on his luck. They let him move into the parish house and before they knew it he'd run up $2000 in phone calls.

I got a great photo of an exotic-looking bum sleeping in our doorway arch, then ran him off.

There is a follow up story. The woman was confronted by a reporter. She pretended not to speak English. he reporter continued the interview in Spanish. The interview went down hill from there.

I originally took the headline to mean she'd stolen a car.... listen, isn't fake panhandling illegal? Can't find a thing on it if so.

I owned a Porsche once when I was a young stud.

I understand Mercedes require premium fuel. Out of my league. Plus, thirty years ago it cost $200 to lift up the hood at a repair joint.
