Fertilizer Shortages

When I was doing custom garden tilling jobs in Chicago suburbs, I also offered soil testing. And when the test was finished I would tell the customer what soil amendments they needed to add.

One customer, the family were vegetarians and did not like the idea of using blood meal (Nitrogen) and bone meal (Phosphorus).

They would not listen when I told them they were not eating the blood and bone. So I had to make substitutions. :-/
