Who is this Norm MacDonald? In his very basic way I think he's great. He's not a comic genius but politically-incorrect comics don't grow on trees. One of the most pressing needs in this universe is for people to STOP RESPECTING U.S. POLITICIANS -- and he's gently leading ppl there.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest of a tax on tea which amounted to two cents.
When that happened, Ben Franklin condemned the act and said it was not a proper thing to do.
It was, of course, and act of civil disobedience.
The Boston Massacre which occurred about three years earlier was one of the things that provoked the ire of the colonists.
The pastors preaching in their pulpits also caused the Colonists to resist more strongly.
When the British marched on Lexington and Concord in 1775, the first shots were fired on British troops. The Minutemen did their thing and the women even helped the men to reload their rifles. ;)
