White police officers and community members gathered to wash the feet of black faith leaders in North Carolina, echoing the Biblical story of how Jesus washed his disciples feet.
People of faith gathered for a unity march in Cary on Saturday, braving the summer heat to protest the brutal police killing of George Floyd and demand an end to racism.
Members of the Legacy Church Center, led by co-pastors Faith Wokoma and her husband Soboma, helped organize the unity prayer walk, where people gathered, observed eight minutes and 46 seconds of silence to mark how long a white cop had his knee on Floyd's neck in killing him, and prayed for the country.
As a part of the event there was a 'Washing of the Feet' ceremony where at least three white law enforcement officers and three other white attendees washed the feet of pastors Faith and Soboma Wokoma.
Photos and video shared on social media show the group praying together as the pastors sat on a bench and their white peers knelt in prayer with buckets to wash their feet.
The washing of feet is a religious rite observed by various Christian denominations based of Jesus Christ’s commandment that his followers should wash one another’s feet, following his example, and to express humility and love.
Video of the ceremony was shared to Facebook where it went viral racking up over 2,400 views.
'Powerful display of what reconciliation looks like,' one Facebook user wrote.
'This is how racial healing starts,' another added.
'Love and humility of God,' one person commented.......

This is actually a variation on my accustomed line about churches: "nobody does any actual preaching because the women would get up from the pews and whack him to death with their purses".
I had such illusions about everything till I saw it was all poopoo waiting to fall on us from the divine posterior. Wherever there's a lot of art going on, and decor qualifies, it's been femmed to death and no testosterone is allowed (except that raging in the veins of controlling Karen types).
Yesterday I saw they'd added a big rainbow to the Welcome To Mauldin (SC) sign and tho't to myself 'this place is a total loss and it was just a big, fun weed full of nice conservative white ppl till recently'. At least it's dodged a bullet it terms of unneeded, unwanted development that's been looming for years -- they don't have the money for it after all, something like that. Such projects are the bane of many a community as prostiticians seek 'legacy' and the café set.

Actually Slovenia. That was part of the old Yugoslavia.
There was a Slovenian Waffen SS General named Globoknic. He was a bad one and killed many Jews after robbing them of their gold. He buried that treasure in several places around southeastern Europe. Much of it was found but one place turned out to be a parking lot. ;)

I worked with an old guy on State Highways in Illinois named Johann Kraus. He was a Sudeten German.
When Germany annexed the Sudetenland, he volunteered for the Waffen SS.
His father protested to the camp Commander that he was being treated too harshly in boot camp.
He was arrested as a "dissenter" and sent to the camps in Germany.
The last I heard he still had not found a trace of him. A lot of people disappeared in those camps.
He was captured by the Russians and was riding on a prison wagon with a female guard. She fell asleep and dropped her rifle. He jumped off the wagon, retrieved her rifle and woke her up. He said she gave him a big kiss and thanked him. If she had lost her rifle they would have killed her.
Kraus is likely dead by now since most of those old timers are gone. :-/

Yes the Cyanide they were supposedly using to kill those people would have left a residue that could still be detected years after its use.
There was an American scientist who went there and did the tour. He obtained wall scrapings which were analyzed and found to NOT contain the Cyanide residue they were looking for to confirm that room was a homicidal gas chamber.
