The ancient Egyptians knew the world was round and even estimated the circumference of the earth within 50 miles of modern calculations. Some Greeks followed Egyptian teachings. Some Greek demonstrated that the earth was curved. They took their children to the docks showing them ships approaching the harbor. If the earth were flat, you would see the top and bottom of the ship simultaneously. But we only see the top of the ship at first.

I'm kind of thinking that when folks started seriously trying to convince others that the Earth is flat should've been OUR first clue... that the regressives were losing THEIR minds.

That is what they told Columbus when he sailed west from Spain in 1492.

Now I hear the Christopher Columbus statue in Chicago has been removed by the Mayor in a middle of the night action. :-/
