Cash-strapped Minneapolis, Minnesota, is reportedly demanding that riot-wrecked businesses, including those that were burned to the ground in the protests following George Floyds death while in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department, pay their property taxes before being allowed to rebuild.

In it, Toqueville explains the concept of "legal plunder". This is when something is taken from someone who has it, and gives it to someone who does not.
This is an early explanation of how Communism works with its tenet of a producer only being allowed to keep one-tenth of what he produces. ;)
