One guy had a bubble machine. It reminded me of Lawrence Welk. ;)
When I was in grade school in early 60s, the teacher was asking everyone what they wanted to be when they grew up. I said, "A farmer." And all the other kids laughed. But back then you could raise a family and even make a profit at farming. Today you have to go into hock to buy equipment. Something tells me the Amish had it right all along. I became a truck driver instead. ;)
I'd give it a 95 ... liked the beat but really enjoyed the lyrics and the amount of effort put into the event ! The most obvious thing about this type of event is the intelligent way to get the point across without killing anyone or burning down the house !
That was great! Tammy Wynette and Lynn Anderson at the Grand Ole Opry.
One time we were working Lorrie Morgan on the north side at Rosemont. I was sitting on the front of Stage Right in the first row.
Toward the end of the show, the crowd was looking above me. I looked up and Lorrie Morgan was standing right above me. I dipped my head and grabbed the brim of my hat.
When the show was over these two girls came up to me. They said, "We saw you looking up Lorrie Morgan's skirt."
Well, I wasn't. But that tells you where their heads were at. LOL
Well, as you know, I've never needed an entertainer. But if I ever DID need one, I'd need Lynn Anderson with her lovely golden locks long before I'd need Lorrie Morgan with her disgusting butch haircut.
An autopsy showed the singer died of an accidental overdose of alcohol, said Medical Examiner Charles Harlan. The singers blood alcohol content was .477, almost five times the amount to be declared intoxicated in Tennessee, Harlan said.
Cocaine and Valium were also in Whitleys system, according to autopsy results released later.
The drugs may have contributed to the singers death, Harlan said, but the cause was drinking too much alcohol in too short a time.
That is really sad. Substance abuse has long been disproportionately high among entertainers. On the road they lose their anchor to hearth and home, and the temptations of the world are undoubtedly stronger.
That's why I never went to Nashville. Well, that, and the fact that I can't pick or sing.

We were working Phish at the Vic Theater in Chicago. They were a knock off Grateful Dead band.
Before the show started there was some guy down front blowing up balloons with whippets. Those were small Nitrous Oxide cylinders they used to make fresh whipped cream. The guys took his stuff and gave it to me. I put it in my work bag.
I was doing the after show party. One of the guys came upstairs and said, "Let me get that Nitrous." I opened the bag up. The Drummer was watching. When he saw me pull that stuff out of my bag he went, "Ssshhhh. Heh! Heh! Heh!"

Kinda? How about totally, absolutely, profoundly, exceedingly, and disgustingly gay, faggoty, and queer? That flaming faggot puts the Z on LGBTQWXYZ.

They should have brought Lynn Anderson and her mama back for this show.
