President Trump’s “Secret Voters” are Worrying Democrat Pollsters

The so-called science of polling, like any statistical model is what George W. Bush used to refer to as “fuzzy math.” Those fuzzy mathematicians got it all wrong in 2016, especially in the swing state’s polling, where Democrats thought they had a lock on Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. They were looking at ties in Florida and North Carolina.

To the embarrassment and chagrin of Rachel Maddow and the few hundred viewers on MSNBC, President Trump won each of those states. Pollsters undercounted President Trump’s loyal supporters and believed bogus exit polling.

Look around. See many “Trump-Pence” campaign yard signs or bumper stickers? Those that are posted don’t last long. They are invitations to violent, demented left wingers to either vandalize property or steal the signs. And who wants someone anonymously running a key across your car’s paint job?

Also, nowadays there is no such thing as friendly political disagreements. Trump supporters simply don’t want to bear the abuse of being called racists or women-haters. In blue enclaves like Hollywood, expressing conservative views is the fast track to obscurity and never working again.

But nationwide polls show Biden holding a 6-point lead over President Trump, with President Trump gaining. In 2016, polls had Hillary up as much as 5.3 points over Trump and we all know how that election turned out.

Pollster Rich Baris says polling again in 2020 is wrong. He says polls that show Biden is way up over Trump are being done wrong, just like they were in 2020.
