They don't realize it yet, but U.S. landlords with active renters are about to become part of the largest nationalized public housing project in the history of the world.

Fuck the Senate. Why do you support forcing people to become homeless who haven’t been able to work since the lockdown started? How do you feel about power shutoffs? Do you support that too?

There is little concern for the property owners that, without rent payment, will not be able to pay for repairs and make mortgage payments. Supposedly, the rent payments are just deferred and the renters will still owe. However, that is nonsense. When they must start making payment and pay for back rent, renters will just move out and never pay. There is nothing the landlords can do. They can hire attorneys to get judgments but they will never collect.

Once burned, twice shy: After that, the cost of renting will be sky- high and many people will not be able to rent at any price without a huge deposit and paying 12 months rent in advance and 80% of renters will not be able to do that.

I am opposed to lockdowns which cause the problems. The problem is the stimulus bill from Pelosi id loaded with gifts to subsidize the cities and states that were the worst lockdown offenders. Her bill is too laden with Dem pork. I don't think she wants a Stimulus because she wants to crash the economy which is why Democrats support the lockdown.

Thank you for that excellent analysis.

The government will undoubtedly use this to justify more government housing thus placing more people under its more direct control. And to transfer yet more wealth from those who earned it to those who didn't.

Only if they are middle class or millionaires. The billionaires or the top 0.01% get more wealth.

The homeless are living in tent cities under the interstates in California.

Some are living in their vans and even though they might have a job as a bus driver, they cannot afford the rents since they are sky high.

The city has put porta potties at strategic locations in these areas. Not sure how they shower the stink off themselves. ;)
