Not everyone was happy with the display of patriotism.

I was visiting some friends several blocks from where I lived in Chicago. I was wearing my usual cowboy hat.

As I was walking down the street on my way home, this guy I knew who was with people from the other neighborhood came out of the place he was living.

He hollered after me, "YOU PIMP!"

I flipped him off and kept walking. He did not follow.

I had a reputation and he knew it. ;)
