Don Lemon Says He “Got Rid Of” Trump-Supporting Friends, Compared Them To “Addicts”

(ThePatriotSource.com)- Left-wing activist news reader Don Lemon said on Thursday night that he had cut out Trump-supporting friends from his life. Speaking to anchor Chris Cuomo, Lemon said he cut them out of his life over their beliefs about the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

“I have many people who I love in my life, and yeah, I come from a red state,” he said. “I’ve lived in several red states. There are a lot of friends I had to get rid of because they are so nonsensical when it comes to this issue. They have the whole…every single talking point that they hear on state TV and that they hear from this president, they repeat it and they are blinded by it.”

Lemon didn’t acknowledge the fact that his Trump-supporting friends were perfectly willing to accept him as their friends, despite being an anti-Trump activist. Lemon was the one who ditched them.

“And I just..when I said to you the other night, ‘There’s no way, they can’t believe it,’ you know, I was just goosing you in a way right?” he added. “You know, they say I was, um, I was breaking your, you know.”

Lemon said during the segment that he’d tried to maintain the relationships, but eventually ended them because he considered his friends to be “too far gone.”

What a friend he is!

“I had to get rid of them because they are too far gone,” he explained. “I try and I try and I try. They’ll say something really stupid and then I’ll show them the science and I’ll give them any information, and they still repeat those talking points. And all the while, the state was a hot spot.”

The self-righteous activist anchor then started comparing Trump supporters, who care more about personal freedom and rebuilding the economy than staying locked down, to drug addicts.

“And I just had to get rid of a lot of people in my life because sometimes you have to let them go,” he said. “I think they have to hit rock bottom like an addict, right?”
