Portland BLM Rioter Who Kicked Man in Head Sentenced to 20 Mos. in Prison

Black Lives Matter activist Marquise Love was sentenced to 20 months in prison for third-degree assault after he kicked a man who was kneeling on the ground, defenseless, in the back of the head.

Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said Love, who goes by “Keese Love,” pleaded guilty to the assault charge and felony riot stemming from the Aug. 16 incident in Portland, Oregon, Fox News reported.

Love’s unprovoked blow struck Adam Haner.

Haner had fallen into the hands of a BLM mob after his car crashed.

He said someone in the mob was pulling him from his car before he had opened his door.

He said he was in the area to help recover property that a transgender female had stolen from him.

“I was just standing for myself as a citizen,” he said. “and if you can’t do that on a street, then what can you do?”

Haner lost consciousness as his bloody head slammed into the concrete, and it appeared that he had died.

“The video of this assault is violent and shocking. It outraged our community and nation,” Schmidt said in a statement. “We are fortunate that the victim’s injuries were not as severe as it first appeared they may have been.”

Authorities advised the public to watch for Love and notify the police if he was seen, but he turned himself into the police a couple days after the attack.

“In the days, weeks and months after this assault, detectives with the Portland Police Bureau worked quickly to identify the suspect and complete the investigation,” Schmidt said. “This is a proper resolution. Marquise Love is accepting responsibility for his actions and the punishment.”

County prosecutors said Love apologized to Haner and offered him well-wishes.

Haner graciously accepted the apology, saying he does not wish any harm on Love.
