As I said, we entered a period of Global Cooling caused by a Grand Solar Minimum. Expect 40 years of bad weather and crop losses.

Lived in that area for most of near 90 years.
Not a bit out of the ordinary.

I drove thru Binghamton, NY when in the big truck many years ago. Luckily, it was not in winter. ;)

I was checking the weather in the area around Binghamton and it says they are expecting a cold snap after the snow.
I hope you have a good supply of food in since it will likely be impossible for you to get out of the house. ;)

When I work for State of Illinois, one time they got caught with their pants down on April 15 snow storm.
There were only two trucks set up. They were scrambling to put spreaders and plow on trucks.
They gave me a truck with a plow and load of salt. They handed me a shovel and said, "Throw it where you need it."
Work that banjo. And I had to go out on main drag of Willow Rd and do it.
They had two old tractors chained up dump bodies of 6 ton trucks to take them in to be scrapped for credit on budget.
They were plowing on Forestway Dr. Some guy jumped out of a car and took a picture of them. No idea where that pic ended up. ;)
