Reagan sold out the US of A with his "Path to citizenship" law and the "Iran/ Contra" deal.

"Path to citizenship" law and the "Iran/ Contra" deal.

As far as the Path to Citizenship goes, many who could have pursued naturalization simply chose not to do so. As with all government programs go, once you accept the benefit you have to return it by going along with the rules that govern the program.

And with Iran/Contra, you simply have to see that since CONgress wanted to abandon those who were fighting the Sandinistas, the Reagan administration decided on an end-run around which bypassed Congressional oversight.

I am not saying it was right or wrong, just that was what happened.

After all, look what happened in Vietnam just five years previously when the U.S. was driven out of that country.

When you look at the Declaration of Independence for Vietnam, which was written by Ho, you will find it was very similar to that of the U.S. Declaration. ;)
