Paul Harvey was a year older than my Dad and the same age when they both passed away.

Damn.

George Putnam used to speak highly of him, I did hear many of his ‘rest of the story’ vignettes.

George, he was an actual legend in the Conservative Movement. His radio show in LA had people on that Rush would never touch. He spoke of Vince Foster, Mena, Chinese noodle fronts in Arkansas, (Loral) Ron Brown etc.

Why the stations license was never yanked is not a mystery. The swamp was weak then. Ken Starr gave it a breath of life, and saved the country’s destruction.
