CAN DEMOCRATS GET TRUMP ARRESTED IN TIME TO PREVENT 2024?

We seem to have two major political forces at play in the American left right now. On the one hand, they want to finally flip the switch and convert us into a communist utopia, complete with mass unemployment and mass graves. Simultaneously, they recognize that the single greatest threat to their wishes is a guy in Florida who is spending a lot of time with his beautiful grandkids right now.

Even as he remains largely silent and recharges his batteries for the coming fight, the media and the Democrat Party are compulsively obsessed with Donald Trump. It’s kind of creepy. They seem to want to arrest him so that they can always know where he is, and they can stop by and talk to him whenever they want to.

There’s a joke that’s been on Twitter for a few weeks now that sums it up nicely. I’ve forgotten who to give original credit to, but it goes something like this:

Journalist 1: “Hooray! We got rid of Trump!”

Journalist 2: “Yay! We did it!”

…

…

…

Journalist 1: “I wonder what Trump’s doing!”

The media has nothing to talk about these days, now that their secret crush has left town for Mar-a-Lago.

For the rest of the Democrat Party, it’s much more sinister. They are dedicated to arresting Donald Trump, so that the American people won’t have a champion on the loose who threatens their extremely flimsy hold on power.

In Fulton County, Georgia, a prosecutor named Fani Willis has opened a criminal probe against Donald Trump, for his phone call with Secretary of State George Raffensperger. Willis has convened a grand jury is looking to charge Trump with conspiracy and racketeering.

The Department of Justice has stated that it will be probing Trump’s role in the January 6 Capitol Kerfuffle, right after they finish locking up every single housewife and small business owner who deigned to politely walk between the velvet ropes in the US Senate that day. How exactly did Merrick Garland receive 20 votes from Republican Senators to confirm him as Biden’s Attorney General, knowing that the guy is absolutely going to try to put Trump in jail?

And Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance continues to desperately try to get his hands on Donald Trump’s tax returns. Has there ever been a more boring “criminal” investigation than the obsession with Trump’s tax returns? If Donald Trump had committed any “tax crimes” over the past 40 years that he’s been a prominent real estate developer, don’t you think that maybe the IRS might have noticed it by now?

Not to be outdone, New York Attorney General Letitia James is hoping to find a crime to charge against Eric Trump. She’s investigating how Eric valuated Trump-owned properties in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Eric Trump has refused to cooperate with the investigation, and for good reason. James was elected Attorney General in blue-state New York on a campaign promise to “take down Trump.” Her motives are filthy.

Shouldn’t Letitia James be looking into something more important than the value of Trump-owned properties right now? Like, oh, I don’t know… the tens of thousands of seniors who died after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered sick COVID patients into nursing homes?

Or the 30+ women who have now come forward to accuse Governor Cuomo of sexual misconduct, harassment, abuse, and Biden-style hallway rapes? (Yes, that 30+ number is accurate, according to The Intelligencer.)

While it is technically possible to indict a former president for a crime after they leave office, that has never before happened in American history. It’s just one more example of how every norm, standard and tradition is being destroyed by the modern left. Every previous president has been allowed to walk off into the sunset after their time in office – but not Trump. They’re so scared of Trump’s connection with the American people that they have to keep poking him with a stick.

The irony is that many of these people continuing to harass Trump – and hoping to arrest him to prevent a comeback – are going to make him more popular than ever before. Go ahead, dummies. Make a martyr out of the most popular elected official in all of US history. See what happens next.

Another irony: In the backs of their minds, the Democrats think they’re protecting America from Trump. They’ve got it backwards. Trump is the only thing protecting permanent Washington from America.
