Biden administration blasted by Texas sheriff for treatment of national guard

A Texas sheriff blasted President Joe Biden’s immigration policies Sunday on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” accusing Biden of presiding over a “complete embarrassment” of a border operation.

“It’s incomprehensible that a national security border, our border with another…foreign country is in the shape that it is,” Jackson County, Texas Sheriff Andy Louderback said.

Louderback argued the situation is preventable — if the president or vice president will come to the border to see for themselves.

He shared, “This is a major travel route, the number one human trafficking here in the United States, a tremendous hub for human trafficking and narcotics.”

The sheriff also noted the tremendous amount of trash left behind by immigrants passing through south Texas. The nation’s climate change leaders seem to conveniently overlook this aspect of Biden’s immigration agenda.

This is not a past issue the Biden administration can blame on Trump or Republicans. Illegal immigration numbers have spiked since Biden took office, not before.

In addition, the “root causes” of immigration are not largely climate change or abuse in their own countries, as some on the left have argued. Instead, it’s the nation’s new open border policy that has driven hundreds of thousands of people to enter the nation.

The sheriff is right. The current situation is an embarrassment. Our nation needs to increase leadership and stop ignoring the nation’s immigration crisis.
