After India finally gets somewhat of a grip on its deadly second wave, one of its health regulators just took away one of its main lines of defense...

New Delhi cut the death rate for covid 92% by using Ivermectin. The Modi government has sold out Indian farmers to Big Ag, sold out Indian people on currency and now is willing to kill them.

does not make sense to kill low maintenance workers to replace them with high maintenance tractors.

But one thing he did not realize is the true reason we were in Afghanistan. And that was if the Pakistani's were to become more unreasonable we could go in there and take out their nukes.
Pakistan was one of the few nations to not be a signatory to the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT). And we wonder how the Saudis could have suggested nuking Syria. Of course if they were to do something so heinous the Russians would have nuked Mecca, Medina and Riyadh. ;)

Just ask BillDBerger about the Air America planes he saw at that AF base in northern Thailand when he was stationed there during the Vietnam War. Indeed, the Opium thing goes way back to The French Connection.
There have been attempts to offer Afghan farmers alternatives to growing Opium Poppies. I am not too sure how successful those attempts have been. ;)

No, I was not in Afghanistan. I have never been in the military.
But that fact did not stop some clown from calling me at home and telling me I was in the National Guard. When they get your name they think they know everything about you. ;)
