Tech entrepreneur and antivirus software developer John McAfee was found dead today in his prison cell, according to a report from the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

A statement from Spain’s justice department confirmed the news and suggested a potential cause of death: “Everything points it could be a death by suicide.”   McAfee had been detained in Spain since late last year on charges of tax evasion related to cryptocurrency dealings in the United States; his extradition to the U.S. was approved this morning, per Reuters.

“Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine,” tweeted McAfee last year, referencing a theory about the death of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

From what we've seen of McAfee, I can believe he'd kill himself before allowing himself to be placed in US custody.

I wonder if he wasn't rich enough to buy his way to freedom?

Even so, the guy was quite flamboyant in his method of thinking. For a guy like that who's used to having it done his way or the highway and who had nothing but contempt for the US gov, sitting in prison can have a way of revising plans. He knew what they are doing to Assange and he's not even in a US prison yet.

Too bad McAfee didn't stick to killing people and burning down cities. He'd be a free man.

In Latin America, possibly, but as far as I know, it doesn't quite work that well in Europe.

True, but he certainly didn't have enough Clinton in him to go that route. He was a crude guy but highly principled.

I know a woman who made some cash from doing crypto transactions. I wonder if the Infernal Revenuers will be on her ass like they were on McAfee's? ;)

No way that I'll ever, ever, believe that he offed himself.

The Clinton Crime Cult has some long tentacles. But I doubt if they could reach across the ocean to off someone like McAfee.

The real question that needs to be asked is if McAfee had lived and been returned to the U.S., what bits of juicy information might he have left slip about certain entities?

The main question is always Cui bono? or Who benefits?;)

Deep State mindf**k going on here, McAfee was too smart to believe Epstein killed himself. Christ, it's like a bad episode of Star Trek.

At this point, Biden.

Not Clintons specifically, think Nicolas II, JFK, and KAL Flight 007.

There is a huge difference between McAfee and Epstein.

The gov (and, to whatever extent, the Clinton cult and Deep Swamp) wanted McAfee alive to make an example out of him, just as they want Assange alive. McAfee was a resister and the Deep State doesn't like resisters. McAfee was a very much a guy that would defy the US gov vehemently, and choosing to die rather than be humiliated in US custody is very much in line with his personality so a Masada style exit is very much in line with is defiant spirit.

Epstein, on the other hand was a liability as he had dirt that could damage the Deep Swamp, so killing him made far, far more sense. How could McAfee possibly have hurt the DS by staying alive?

I don't think anyone is suggesting McAfee thought otherwise.

On that score, I wouldn't put that limitation on the Clintons. She was secretary of state, after all, so has international contacts.

Right, it's just that the whole thing smacks of bungling spooks.

Yes she does have those contacts. But can we assume she had the right contacts in Spain to have McAfee offed?

On another score, would the Spaniards allow this to happen the same way that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead of apparent suicide?

If the Spaniards are sucking the right cock then that is entirely possible. ;)
