Remeber when Trump was running the first time. Trump told the American people that he would repeal DACA if elected, Trump got elected and he told congress to repeal DACA. Trump never intended to repeal DACA.

I think this thought pattern is a bit skewed.

DACA was never passed by Congress. Obama made it law by Executive Order.

So Trump could never have promised to repeal something that was never passed into law.

It is extremely likely all of this will end up in the Supreme Court to be sorted out.

Oh, and those several states who have made objections to DACA are right in that DACA forces them to provide government benefits to people who really have no right to those be in those government programs in the first place. ;)
