On Tuesday, Russia’s Sukhoi aircraft design bureau unveiled a sleek new fighter jet intended to rival Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Based on technology from its Su-57 fighter, Sukhoi has dubbed the new fighter “Checkmate.”
A prototype of the Checkmate fighter was the opening act for the MAKS-2021 air show at Zhukovsky Airport southeast of Moscow, which runs from July 20-25 and of which Sputnik is the official media partner. Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the exhibit on its opening day.
The Checkmate is intended for export, and the promotional video released a day before the expo included interested figures from the United Arab Emirates, India, Vietnam, and Argentina.

Russia has a 2000 mile border with China. Russia has a population of 150 million of whom eight per cent are Chinese. China has 1.5 BILLION PEOPLE. China is a net importer of food and oil. Russia has unlimited natural resources and land. China does not.
India has also a billion and a half people and a 2000 mile border with China. India and China are long time enemies.
Russia knows full well that if the US leaves Asia, China will have them for lunch and INDIA IS THE ONLY OTHER POSSIBLE ALLY.
Russia can huff and puff with all the new weapons they have but they are going nowhere.

I wish Trump would have taken up Putin on his offer to "work together to fight the evil in the world."
Now Bidette's actions are causing the Russians to run into the arms of the Chinese. This can only cause more consternation.
We must recall that when Obummer was POTUS he had zero luck in talking with Putin. Now Obummer is saying Joe Biden is his third term. So who exactly is pulling his strings? ;)
