Your thoughts, please. I'm starting to think that the only thing I safely own is PMs. Goob could thwart that easily by changing the reporting reqs. Shit's happening fast.

Hahahahahhaha I knew this was coming last year. It’s why I know the stock market is going to plummet to new lows, and a lot of folks who had their retirements paid for, are going to be wondering wtf happened.

Lots of bad things coming down the pipe. Going to be an ugly ugly time if this infrastructure package takes hold.

I dunno. That would really fuck the E-lites over. Where would they keep their wealth?

...and a lot of folks who had their retirements paid for, are going to be wondering wtf happened.

The pensions are gone for sure, including SS.

They pump and dump. They are buying gold and silver. And land in areas where they expect people to survive like Patagonia ans New Zealand.

I read it. It doesn't phase me much. Crypto is international and borderless so the US is expressly limited in what it can do to it. China used to have leverage over crypto because a lot of mining was done there, and then recently China has been outlawing crypto mining in the country. The result was a drop in bitcoin price and a general voluntary expulsion from China of about all mining operations. That loss of "hash rate" as it's called caused the difficulty factor for mining to also drop which was good for everyone who was still mining, and life goes on. Now China has a lot less influence over bitcoin as they shot their wad.

So now the US thinks it will tax the yazoo out of crypto. Well, that will be those entities that seek to make formal profits out of crypto, which will be those trading it. Those simply utilizing crypto without seeking to make a dollar gain on it won't care so much. Personally I DON'T WANT to see big finance companies exploiting crypto for profit as their profits effectively serve as a tax for little people that want to invest in crypto.

Big finance is not a friend of the little guy. Never has been, never will be. So if this tax help get players like JP Morgan & Bank of America out of the crypto business, I say good riddance. Crypto has grown to what it is today largely without the help of big finance, and in fact Big Finance may have done more to suppress crypto for the reason I stated.

Within the last 36 hours, crypto has gone up. Bitcoin is now at about $42,500 after spending the last 6-7 weeks in the 30-40k range, and is presently being tested to see if it feels at home above $40k. At the moment, it seems the answer is yes.
