Fact check, FALSE! There was no no indication of a grenade launcher or RPG (rocket propelled grenade) visible in the bumper-car video. There was one indication of a firearm, most likely an American 'ghost gun', so the entire Fox commentary should be ignored. [Esso McSoyBoi]

FWIW, RPGs are quite dangerous if the safety cap is removed from the nose before firing. If you smack the nose accidently, the results are not usually recoverable.

The Russian RPG and the American LAWS (light anti-tank weapons system) were similar. The RPG had a simple contact fuse with a safety cap that was not supposed to be removed until employment (too much hassle), and would explode if struck accidently. Both weapons had a really bad back blast area.

The LAWS had some kind of mechanism that wouldn't arm the round until it was well away from the launching point. I don't remember exactly how that worked right this second, Bidet gave me Alzheimer's with his bullshit.

The 40mm (anti-personnel) grenades we employed had a centrifugal fuzing mechanism that wouldn't arm until well out of the blast radius.

Basically, a shotgun round would propel the round out of the guide tube a bit, so as not to blow the face off of the soldier, then a rocket motor would kick in to finish the job. As far as I know, both weapons used shaped charges, as they were designed as anti-armor weapons.

Not that I'd know anything about that.
