When we beat the gun ban referendum (66% to 32%) in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a couple of guys on the Committee got drunk and put a FOR SALE sign in front of the woman's house that started it all. I can still recall her saying at a meeting at City Hall, "If it only saves one life." That is a regular anti-gun canard.
