Recall the reason the British marched on Lexington and Concord. That was to seize the powder and shot at the town armories.

The Colonists met them and were sniping along their route. And the women folk were reloading rifles for the men.

The British beat a hasty retreat back to Boston. Gun control is the hallmark of tyranny. ;)
