Haven't eaten at McDonald's or Taco Bell since 1983.
Life's too short already.

When driving trucks for Vestal, we picked up a load of fresh frozen chickens in Nebraska.
I had this green kid named Chad with me. He was driving back to AG, the grocery warehouse in Springfield.
I got him to the point there was no way he could have made a mistake. I told him, "You go up to the 4-way Stop, make a left turn and go across the river and take I-29 south."
I hit the sleeper. I woke up and opened the curtain of the sleeper just in time to see the sign, "KANSAS STATE LINE 4 MILES".
I said, "Stop this truck right now. How are you going to explain being in Kansas when you're not supposed to be there."
I had to back us into a gravel road and turn us around. Then get us back to where we were supposed to be at I-29 in Missouri.
Then I had to route him around the scale north of Kansas City since if they were checking logs it would have been heavy fines. I told him, "If you're not sure you're on the right road, wake me up." I hit the sleeper again.
He woke me up. I could tell be the angle the tractor was sitting he was on the right road. Hwy 7 made a right turn and crossed U.S. 65 further east and that road took us into Springfield.
And that was the 2nd time he missed a turn on that trip. I'll bet he is no longer driving trucks. He just couldn't find his way around.
I could read a map and find my way around. If I missed a turn I caught it quickly. Now they have GPS in the trucks so it is a whole different story. ;)
