Luke (Lucas Black) is a young golfer who's about to take a swing at the big time until he has a meltdown that makes national news and scuttles his once-promising career. While driving through Texas, Luke crashes through the fence of rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall). Johnny makes him an irresistible offer: spend a week with him in the tiny town of Utopia and see if Luke can change his life.

IIRC that was the kid who played Mark McCain in The Rifleman.
He recently passed away Apr 29, 2021 at the age of 75. ;)
