I have the same problem with Trans people as I do about Clowns. It takes me a few minutes to see past the makeup and the idiocy to understand I am talking to a human being that has made some choices that go contrary to my beliefs. Once I adapt, I am fine and can treat them politely. Though Clowns bother me a bit more because they are never really funny, and truthfully have something unsettling about them.

I think that everyone can be made fun of for various reasons, and Trans people while they are an easy target should have that moment where they need to stop taking themselves so seriously. If I as a white middle aged man have to endure the endless assault on what I am and what I represent, then surely they can take a few jokes meant in the spirit they were made in.

If you watch the special it’s actually funny as hell, and this is manufactured outrage. Joe Rogan actually figured out why these assholes do what they do. It’s little people trying to make themselves big people by taking down someone that is bigger than they are. Social Darwinism.
