Is this what the Biden Administration had in mind? Soaring labor costs at the same time that labor productivity is falling to its lowest level since 1960?

Powell and the Gang’s monetary approach doesn’t seem to be working for the labor market …

But is working extremely well for asset prices.

There is a housing shortage across the country. In California people have converted their two car garages into living quarters and efficiency apartments.

In towns the older motels that were once on the main drag in town are trying to rent their rooms out on a monthly basis.

Near the interstates larger hotel chains like Super 8 and Wyndham and Hyatt have built hotels near the exits.

When we drove the big truck to Florida we would get a room at a motel in Lakeland so we could shower and sleep in a real bed for a night. Then we would do our delivery the next day. ;)
