When I lived in Chicago and 5 or 6 guys were hanging out in the 'hood, the cops would pull up and call the oldest one of the bunch over to the squad car. One cop would get him behind the door and tell him, "You guys should know better than to be hanging out like this on my beat."

While he was telling the guy that he would hit him in the gut a few times to make sure he understood clearly.

That was called 'community policing". LOL
