But wait a minute! Hasn’t science proven we don’t need God to explain the universe? Lightning, earthquakes and even babies used to be explained as acts of God. But now we know better. What is it about this discovery that is so fundamentally different, and why has it stunned the scientific world?

This discovery and what molecular biologists have learned about the sophisticated coding within DNA have many scientists now admitting that the universe appears to be part of a grand design.

One cosmologist put it this way: “Many scientists, when they admit their views, incline toward the teleological or design argument.”[1]

As if a bunch of Catholic priests are going to be able to exorcise the devil when the devil permeates every nut, bolt and piece of sheet metal. It’s a Jeep Cherokee. It cannot be reasoned with. You may as well ask for ice water in hell Lod, because all it will do, is laugh as you cry bitter tears into your empty glass.

I am going to fix it just enough for it to find someone else to victimize. Preferably a used car dealership that is used to having a good working relationship with the devil.

In all fairness to Darkwing, he has that option of repenting. If you go your entire life believing in nothing and are presented with the face of God, and then because God has the grace to often hear you out, you probably get a pass. Because despite all the signs he shows us, the world has a way of drowning out more or less anything good in this world that might make you believe in something substantial.

I believe that God exists, because God has to. I have been plagued by the devil since before I was even born, and know that there have been many many many times God intervened on my behalf even when I was not conscious of it. Because self reflection has a way of making you realize that you can’t be that lucky without angels looking out for you.

That’s the thing. I don’t know Darkwing’s story, but if I had to guess, he’s probably been shown the ass end of things a lot, and like a lot of us in this world we are indeed tired of fairy tales.

I do believe in God though, without a doubt. Because I know the devil is real. That is not meant to be a joke either, I am absolutely serious. The devil is indeed quite real.

Amen and thank you. God and his angels are real, just as Satan and his demons are real, and many of us here have had the intervention of angels to save our bacon more than once in our lives.

We have to do absolutely nothing to have Satan in our lives, he was there from the time that we were born. Satan came into our lives uninvited, but we as individuals have to invite Jesus into our hearts and lives.
