A lousy 4 cops killed. That is insignificant compared to the 19,379 gun violence deaths in the US in 2020, according to data from the nonprofit Gun Violence Archive. This statistic excludes suicides involving guns, which consistently account for a majority (roughly two-thirds) of annual US gun deaths. Now if that was 100 cops, then it would be worth reporting.
