Years ago I was in Inuvik and sent my buddy a really cool time lapse postcard picture of the sun just making a circle in the sky. Jack's long since passed, this is the closest I can come to it:

In the middle of summer, that's what the sun did for a month or so. I suppose it never came up in the winter just the same. When I was there, It was a pretty primitive place. Utilidors were these like tunnels built above ground to supply stuff that's mostly underground for us tropical pussies. I think the steam heat kept the poopie from freezing until it got where it was going. Been a long time ago.
