Cutting taxes without cutting spending causes inflation, and inflation is also a tax. It's the spending that needs to be cut, but which never will be cut. Everyone talks about the problems with high taxation but they never talk about the problems with high spending. As long as there is high spending, we'll pay for it either through high taxation or high inflation. Either way, we're paying for it.
