In mid-January 1945, Soviet troops entered original German soil for the first time, and for many German civilians, this was akin to the gates of hell opening before them. However, in this program we are going to focus on the reaction of the Soviets to seeing German society. We will see in shock what this supposed to them, and how the postal service censors had to get down to work.
