The Algerian military has reportedly acquired an export version of the Chinese YJ-12B costal defense system armed with CM-302 supersonic anti-ship missiles.

On May 18, a photo showing a TEL [Transporter Erector Launcher] of the system moving in an unspecified part of Algeria surfaced online.

It remains unclear when Algerian acquired the advanced system, or how many were purchased. The Algerian military does not usually disclose any information about its purchases. China also maintains a high level of secrecy when it comes to its weapons exports.

The new Russian S-500 anti-missile system can shoot down Mach 20 missiles. Russia has Mach 20 missiles. America's fastest is one fourth that. Russia already working on the replacement for the S-500.

They didn't do so very good with the older Soviet HIND helicopters.

The Ukrainians mounted an attack on a Russian fuel depot inside Russia and caused a great conflagration. ;)

Do not believe everything you read. The stories I read of Russian victories come with video evidence. Russian allies captures Ukrainian prisoners. Two of the men were new recruits in their 40s. This war of attrition will not last much longer. As Scott Ritter said, the Russians have a 10 to 1 kill ratio advantage.

That would be very similar to Rhode Island thinking it could defeat the U.S. military in a conventional battle. ;)

The Libyans have a new Navy with glass bottom boats so they can look at the old Navy. Reagan ordered an attack on Libyan Navy vessels in the Gulf of Sidra. Carrier based A-4 Skyhawks sank three Libyan Navy vessels. ;)
